Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very satisfied! 1. On time 2 day shipping 2. Quality sound and a great look of this HKTS 30 system. 3. Includes soldered speaker wire ends, larger satellite tweeters and gold plated push style metal wire connections, all lacking in the HKTS 16 system. 4. Which reciever would you use with this setup

Any of our 5.1 channel, networked audio/video receiver would work very well with the HKTS 30. Please click on the link below to be routed to our Harman Kardon page for receivers: https://www.harmankardon.com/audio-video-receivers/

I have recently purchased a Harman Kardon BDS 577 Blu-ray Disc Receiver and a Harman Kardon HKTS 30 home theatre speaker system. I set it up with the EzSet/EQ microphone but have yet to hear any sound when playing a DVD from either of the rear speakers.

Connected to my earlier question; even the satellite speakers of HKTS 30BQ will not have any adverse effects when used with 230V; is that what you mean?

Asked by: Osie
Yes, there would be no problems since the satellites are passive speakers and would only get the wattage coming from the receiver's power output.

I bought a HKTS 30BQ speaker system from USA sometime ago. Can I use this with AVR 171S that works with 230V in another country? I was told at that time it would work perfectly as the subwoofer works with both 110V & 230V.

Asked by: Osie
Yes it would, the Subwoofer works with 100V- 240V so it should have no problems with with 230V.

Hi. I'm from Malaysia. Can this unit be used here with an outlet of 240V?

Asked by: chrizz1441
The HKTS series and all our receivers sold in this US site are US models, so they are 110 volt versions. You can use a step down transformer in order to use this for 240V. Although you can use a step down transformer, the power frequency will be dropped to 50Hz compared to 60Hz (US). This will cause the unit to run a bit hotter and you my experience some humming due to the change in frequency. With that said, I would not recommend using this in another country with different voltage. Please purchase the AVR in the country where you will use it.

do these speakers support Dolby Atmos?

Asked by: Maani
These speakers can be used in a Dolby Atmos system, but they are only composed of 5 speakers and 1 subwoofer. You may need more speakers for the complete system.

What is the ideal receiver for HKTS30 from the list of receivers and why? Also what are all the compatible ones.

Asked by: Srinath
An ideal receiver for the HKTS 30 is one that is rated at 8 ohms and can handle 10 to 120 watts. All of our AVRs (1510S, 1610S, 1710S) can power this 5.1 speaker system.
