Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small and powerful enough for me! I bought this unit as a replacement for the JBL Flip. Was attracted to the size, which makes it easy to pack away. The sound is clear and it has enough bass for me.

I want to charge the battery connecting to product directly to the electricity power. Does it work with 110 volts (available in the US) or also with 220v (available in Argentina where I am from)?

Asked by: KlausBoueke
As i checked the Esquire Mini, It only came with a Micro USB cable to charge the device, If you're pertaining to using an adapter for the USB like how recent Iphone chargers are then it would be fine to use it as the USB cable can only drive 5V max into the Esquire mini so there are no worries of electrical problems.

The sound lost quality, so I reset the Esquire by pressing the phone and +volume simultaneously. After that, I turned on the device. The blue light blinks and there is a sound. But I cannot connect the device vía Bluetooth to any device.

I want to connect my HK Esquire Mini to my LG TV via bluetooth.  I have no idea how to do this - never did it.  Can you give me instructions?

Asked by: Nancy
If your TV supports or is setup to support Stereo Audio Bluetooth connection, then the ESQUIRE MINI would be able to connect to your TV. To put the ESQUIRE MINI in pairing mode, please perform the following. -While the speaker is on, press and hold the Bluetooth button for 3 seconds, then let go. You will hear the Bluetooth pairing tone twice, and the control light flashes blue. -Locate the ESQUIRE MINI on your TV and pair them together. The two devices will synchronize, and you will hear a tone from the ESQUIRE MINI, indicating that the connection is successful.

Hello. I was issued an HK mini esquire for work and it is perfect for travel and training. Recently I have been experiencing cracking noise from the unit and I cannot find the proper troubleshooting guide. Any assistance would be appreciated

Asked by: John A
Please try to complete a reset on your ESQUIRE MINI to attempt and fix the issue. In power ON mode, press and hold "Volume+" and "Phone" buttons simultaneously for about 5 seconds. Unit powers off by itself. Now the unit is reset to factory defaults. If this does not help, please submit a case at www.harmankardon.com/support-contact.html and our Customer Service Team will be glad to assist you.

Bluetooth pairing with Windows 8.1 / Skyppe

Asked by: peterwarner
Hi Peter, To be able to connect with Bluetooth to the HK Esquire, you will need to download the correct drivers for the Bluetooth hardware in your laptop/PC. These need to support AVRCP and A2DP protocol. You can download these drivers from the website of your laptop/PC's manufacturer. Even though the Esquire has built-in microphones, these will not work with a PC/Laptop for Skype. You will still need to use the built-in microphone of your laptop for use with Skype. You can set this as "default" microphone in Windows' settings, and use the HK Esquire as default audio output. If you require more information about the HK Esquire, please feel free to contact us on customer.support@harman.com

I have an Esquire 2. When I pair it to my Windows 8.1 machine it appears to work. However instead of saying 'Paired' it says 'Connected'. When I then power off the unit my Bluetooth settings says 'Paired'. Whatever, I can't use it with Skype. Any ideas?

Asked by: peterwarner
Hi Thank you for the question When you switch off the bluetooth speaker, you computer will take time to realize that the paired device is no longer available. Regarding Skype - Esquire 2 is not certified to be used with Skype, so you may experience problems using this speaker for Skype conference. If you have further questions please contact our help-desk.

Hi ,  I am  fan of this HK Esquire Mini and I really like it as the sound quality is perfect during conference call.  Lately I cannot put it in high volume because of the speakers seems to have broken as it emits distorting sound. Can it be repaired?

Asked by: Rudy0830
Different sources have different volume threshold, meaning that the speaker will only play sound within the limits of the source. If you try to set the volume high but the source already reached its limit, the result would most likely be a distorted sound. Please try to connect it with a different source just to isolate the issue. If you are still experiencing issues, please submit a case at www.harmankardon.com/support-product.html and our Customer Service team will be glad to assist you.
