Hi ,  I am  fan of this HK Esquire Mini and I really like it as the sound quality is perfect during conference call.  Lately I cannot put it in high volume because of the speakers seems to have broken as it emits distorting sound. Can it be repaired?

Different sources have different volume threshold, meaning that the speaker will only play sound within the limits of the source. If you try to set the volume high but the source already reached its limit, the result would most likely be a distorted sound. Please try to connect it with a different source just to isolate the issue. after just one day the speaker quality has become unbearable. raspy and really can't even on low volume listen to it

Please try using a different source to isolate the issue. You may also try a reset. To complete a reset on your ESQUIRE MINI to attempt and fix the issue. In power ON mode, press and hold "Volume+" and "Phone" buttons simultaneously for about 5 seconds. Unit powers off by itself. How to set up the Esquire Mini with laptop or tablet for Skype conference? Can this speaker be used as wired speaker via USB connection?

If you would like to use the speaker with your laptop, you would need to use a 3.5mm AUX cable or if your laptop is capable of audio streaming via Bluetooth then you can connect the speaker via Bluetooth as well. Just make sure that your laptop supports A2DP Bluetooth codec. You may also need to go into Skype's settings/options to enable Skype to use the ESQUIRE MINI as the mic to talk into.

Hi my HK mini wont connect with my laptop and I cant find driver for installation. How can i resolve thie issue?

The ESQUIRE MINI does not require any specific drivers. It utilizes the standard Bluetooth Stereo Audio drivers available in most laptops. There are two different Bluetooth protocols, one for Headset Audio used for talking on the telephone, and the other for high quality stereo audio listening. Being that the ESQUIRE MINI is a speaker; your computer must connect to the ESQUIRE MINI using the Stereo Audio protocol. Your best bet is to go into your control panel and find the Bluetooth setup. This setup usually provides a setup wizard and will take you through the steps to install the drivers needed for Stereo Audio.

Hello, I have an Esquire Mini. I've had it for about a year now. I take it on bike rides. It used to work great, but now it is very distorted. I reset it, but the sound is still very distorted and I can barely turn the volume up. Can you help me?

I had the same problem. It was solved when I took off my iWatch and fitbit - two additional bluetooth devices that were coming in close contact with the speaker. You might check to see if you have other bluetooth devices close to the speaker causing the distortion.

When using the esquire mini as a phone speaker with my laptop (dell) using a voip tool like skype or zoom it works fine for a while but then switches off. I can restart the connection then it works fine again for some time till it switches off. Thanks.

Device goes silent after 10 minutes even though I set sound to maximum level in Windows and on device (pressing volume button wakes it up). This happens at least with Skype for Business, and is really annoying. Any idea how to solve this?

I've previously had my Esquire Mini paired with my MacBook Air. Can't pair it now. Have tried previous suggestions (remove from computer, turn on/off/of, etc). The Mac finds it but won't pair. Apple says may be issues with pairing with Sierra OS. Help.

I can't switch on my new Esq. Mini. Charged to 75%, pressed pwr, no reaction. Pressed and hold pwr for a long time-I could here a sound and see a blue light for a short while. Then both the sound and light went off. Now only batt indicator, can't sw. on.

What you are experiencing is not normal. Turning the ESQUIRE MINI on should not require pressing and holding the power button. Please try to complete a reset on your ESQUIRE MINI to attempt and fix the issue. In power ON mode, press and hold "Volume+" and "Phone" buttons simultaneously for about 5 seconds. Unit powers off by itself. Now the unit is reset to factory defaults. If this does not help, please contact the store that you've purchased your unit from and they should be able to assist you, or at least guide you to those who can.
