Onyx Mini is rated NaN out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound in compact size I bought this for work because of it's size, it has the same great sound quality as my larger Onyx, I'm very happy with this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound for something so small I bought this at Best Buy for $49.00 and took it to work. I run a CNC Saw and it gets loud, so I didn't expect very much. Now I don't boom the whole plant, but it puts out great sounds for me. I am very impressed and would recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome speaker Does not have a deep bass like the studio version, but for the size sounds amazing. Absolutely happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best portable speakers around...!!! As a diehard fan of the boom box era, I had 2 admit (although sadly) that I had 2 get with the times...long story short...got the Onyx Mini as a Christmas gift from my other half...the sound is amazing...clear, crisp even when turned up...I thought the bass port in the back is a neat feature that enhances the quality of the speaker's sound....I'm sold...another great Harmon/Kardon product...keep up the good work...!!!

My girlfriend is constantly having trouble pairing with the Onyx Mini with her iPhone 6. Most of the time, she has to restart her phone for it to pair. Is there a way to factory reset the Onyx Mini?

Asked by: bwc314
To reset the ONYX MINI, while the unit is turned ON, press and hold the "Volume +" and "Phone" for 2-3 seconds. The ONYX MINI will turn OFF indicating that it is reset. Try to pair it with a different source as well to isolate the issue. If you are still experiencing issues, please submit a case at www.jbl.com/support-product.html and our Customer Service team will be glad to assist you.

I currently use my Mini via aux only. But every time I turn it on, it automatically tries the pairing process. Can I either bypass this or manually turn the Bluetooth function off? I tried pressing the Bluetooth button once but nothing happened. Thanks!

Asked by: Ken RR
Unfortunately it cannot be bypass nor manually turn of the Bluetooth function.

Can i use this speaker for a turntable??

Asked by: lime29
You can hook up the ONYX MINI using a 3.5mm audio cable to your Turntable, as long as it has an analog audio output. It will usually be called Headphone Output.

I'll start with the most basic question there is: How do you turn the Onyx Mini on? I know the power button is in the middle, but nothing happens when I push it. It is plugged in and fully charged, yet nothing happens.

Asked by: Muss
Press and hold the power button for 3-5 seconds. The power button will illuminate indicating that it is turned ON.

Can I use the hardan kardon remote app with the onyx mini?

Asked by: Luch
No. The Harman Kardon Remote app is not compatible with the ONYX MINI.

My speaker will randomly stop playing when I have my iPod connected to the aux input. It still appears to be on, and if I press the volume up button play resumes. This happens even when the speaker is charging. Is this a defect?

Asked by: R8chlj
It is possible that what you are experiencing is due to the ONYX MINI's power saving feature. It is auto sensing and will turn off if no audio signal is detected for approximately 10 minutes. So, if you have the volume on the ONYX MINI cranked up, and the volume on your source device set really low, it is very possible that the ONYX MINI is not seeing enough of an audio signal to know to stay on. Please try turning the volume on the ONYX MINI down a bit, and then crank up the volume on your source device to get to the level you desire. This will send a better signal to the ONYX MINI and it should stay on without any issues.

Is there a way to sync the onyx mini when using 2 of them to watch a movie on my iPad? The sound was delayed by like a second or two from the picture the entire movie when watching one the other day, this was one of main reasons to buy these 2 speakers.

Asked by: jbird72
Please try using a wired connection as the ONYX MINI is not ideal to be used as movie speakers as there is a slight delay in processing the sound via Bluetooth. You may use a 3.5mm Y-jack aux cable to resolve this issue.
