Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful product. I got this speaker when it was on sale. I wasn't really interested in wireless, but I was tiring of my phone's speaker's weaknesses. Harman/Kardon Onyx Mini not only met, but exceeded my expectations. Bass and lows aren't great, and I don't recommend using this for phone calls, but I still believe this is one of the best Bluetooth speakers out there. I highly recommend it.

It wont play sound, it says Connected Voice. Is there a way to turn it off of voice?

Asked by: zzx4
All our portable speakers, including the ONYX MINI, does not feature audio feedback. You will only hear an audible tone once the speaker is connected to the source. If you have enabled a voice command app or service (siri, google voice, cortana, etc.) on the source device, kindly disable it. If the ONYX MINI doesn't play, please test it with another source device by following these steps. 1. Turn on the ONYX MINI. 2. Press and hold the Bluetooth button until it you hear a tone. 3. Turn on the Bluetooth on you source and it should scan Bluetooth devices nearby that is transmitting a Bluetooth signal. 4. Select “ONYX MINI” on the device’s pairing list. An audible tone would indicate that the speakers are now paired. Play music and and test. If this doesn't help, please submit a case at www.harmankardon.com/support-contact and the Customer Service team will be more than happy to assist you.

I have an older non bluetooth IPod, how can I connect it to the speaker? I bought one and love the sound, but play off of my IPod 99% of the time. I don't have an IPhone, just an IPod.

Asked by: BHoho
You may use a 3.55 mm aux cable to connect your old non-Bluetooth iPod with your ONYX MINI. The aux port is found behind the speaker, beside the charging port.

Could you pair a bluetooth microphone to the speaker? I am looking at this for a children's camp.

Asked by: SH427
The ONYX MINI does not support a third party device like a microphone over Bluetooth or wired connection. So no, a microphone will not work with the ONYX MINI.

Will there be any damage to Onyx Mini if I have it turned on and plugged to USB charger at all times? I have it connected to my Amazon Echo Dot by bluetooth so I need 24/7 operation.

Asked by: Salvador Crevier
Yes, it is completely safe to leave the ONYX MINI connected to the power whether it is in use or not. It won’t damage the battery.

Follow these steps in initiating the wireless dual sound feature: 1. Pair your device(i.e Phone, Laptop, Etc...) to your Onyx Studio 3. 2. Once the device is paired, switch the other speaker ON. 3. Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the Onyx Studio 3 that is paired with your device for at least 7-10 seconds or until you see the Bluetooth button blink initiating wireless dual pairing mode. 4.
